I really enjoyed this year’s Lenten Madness since it gave a relief from the outside world. Took me in a different place reading about the various saints. And I am delighted that Harriet Tubman was awarded the Golden Halo?
!!! Thanks for all the hard work.

I am with Robyn. I also hope they bring back the followup until Pentecost. I can’t remember what it is called, but I missed it last year because they didn’t do it. THANK YOU for another great year and may everyone stay safe and healthy.

I am grateful that you were here, even the days that I couldn’t get to the site to read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and vote.

I want to thank my friend St. J. of the Grasslands who introduced me to Lent Madness in March. During this tragic pandemic, this Madness has brought to me each morning a focus on saintliness, on faith, on prayer and on the majesty of the human spirit when faced with earthly challenges. It was a great way to start each day with a touch of history and humor. Many thanks to all who contribute to the effort.

Glad my favorite won the Golden Halo. Wish it was a different mug style, since I have last year’s , but I’m likely to order this year’s anyway. Thanks for a great Lent. Happy Eastertide.

I use my Silver Halo mug with Julian of Norwich every day. Any chance of producing silver and bronze mugs for Joseph and Hildegarde of Bingen? I would buy all three.

Our church, Church of the Good Shepherd Tomball, Texas, had a Lent Madness Challenge this year. Anyone who wanted to play turned in the four saints that he/she thought would be in the final four and circled the one he/she hoped would win the Golden Halo. We had a banner made up so we could all watch as saints and players were eliminated. Unfortunately we couldn’t gather to talk about it, so emails had to keep us updated on how everyone was doing. One person had both Joseph and Harriet Tubman on her list of picks, so she was declared the winner. Six people had Harriet Tubman as the winner, so they were also declared winners. Four other people had Harriet Tubman as one of the Faithful
four. Five people were knocked out of the competition before the Faithful Four. We didn’t announce any prizes except bragging rights, but the winners will be getting Harriet Tubman mugs and the one child in the competition will get the Meet the Saints book. By the time the mugs come, I hope we’re able to gather together and present them in person, maybe even standing closer than 6 feet apart.

I surely support the Silver Halo tradition continuing with something good for Joseph.
I preordered two Harriet Tubman mugs. I’m hoping the art I saw representing it is improved somehow. A very brave woman doing God’s work needs to be represented boldly.

Thank you so much for this clever and faithful tradition. It seemed even more fitting this year as I read stories of bravery and hope in the midst of adversity. Good humour and wit never go astray. Thank you, Happy Easter and blessings, stay safe.

Love Lent Madness and you two!
But on a serious note, I’ve noticed that there must be someone cutting your hair – you both look fabulous! How did you manage that???

    Greetings:
Every morning I looked forward to Lent Madness. Each day I found it difficult to chose the more saintly of the two. You do a wonderful job in finding all these saints.
    Thank You..

Thank You so much for keeping us going during this difficult time…
Could you pick a saint that lived during a pandemic and write something once a week …
    Would really help.
    Bendiciones…
