Things are heating up as we continue to work our way through the Round of 32 in Lent Madness 2020 — and we’re not just talking about the official drink of the Supreme Executive Committee, which Tim and Scott reveal in this week’s episode of Monday Madness. It’s worth noting, once again, that you never know what’s going to happen in the Saintly Smackdown. St. Patrick may have driven the snakes from Ireland, but did that help him move beyond the first round of everyone’s favorite online Lenten devotion? No!
On screen, Tim drinks out of a coffee mug at Redeye Roasters in Hingham, MA, home to this week’s on-location recording. If you want your own mug to enjoy a favorite beverage while watching Monday Madness or deciding which saint gets your vote, visit the Lentorium and pick up a Lent Madness mug or travel mug.
In the meantime, there’s still time to vote in today’s matchup between James Solomon Russell and Evelyn Underhill. Don’t forget to exercise your right to vote!
This is here for social media sharing.
This is definitely politically incorrect but I have to say The Supreme Executive Committee members are so adorable! And charming in that understated way, and very funny. Thanks, Scott and Tim, for proving that faith and religion and spiritual growth are not boring or humorless!
Where would we be without the Supreme Executive Committee! Just goes to show that true faith and fellowship does not have to stodgy. (and apparently, caffeine helps)
This was a challenging, almost painful, decision to make- but I went for the determined church-planter. Oh Lent Madness, sometimes you make it so hard!
As so many have already commented: The Supreme Concil of Lent Madness makes many of the decisions supremely dificult. If you had pitted anyone other than Evelyn Underhill against James Solomon Russell I probably would have voted for him, but I have had had a longstanding love affair with Evelyn Underhill’s writings so she got my vote.
Glad to see Scott back in Ohio and looking healthy. Do you have to isolate yourself for 14 days?
Laughing about the purple beer comment. A delicious alternate choice is blackberry hard cider.
There is purple beer! Purple Haze brewed at Anita Brewery Company in Abita Springs, La.
Tim, that is a colossal mug of coffee.
Does George T. Dog regularly vote????
Tim, could you pick up a ristretto for me on your way out?
