This week Tim and Scott look ahead to the championship match of Lent Madness. They also contemplate a factfinding trip to a faraway destination and, as if that wasn’t enough, they display the world premiere of what could become an Olympic event: Synchronized Blessing.

fittingly for the coming Triduum, I have three comments:
1. voting opens and closes at 8 am/pm in which time zone?
2. I’m going to have Monday Madness withdrawal
3. are either of you, Rev’d sirs, having archnemesis withdrawal?
1. Voting always closes about 24 hours after it opens, so that will be 8 a.m. Eastern time.
2. If an advertiser wants to sponsor more, we could be persuaded to make additional episodes. Just call one of the networks to find out about what it costs to fun 6-10 minutes of air time.
3. It’s not so much withdrawal as a problem focusing. Kind of like certain countries invent enemies to channel political energy, an archnemesis helps me to know who to blame for things. It will be nice to have that again.
Still trying to get the image of Scott and the thurible in the warehouse out of my head. Will be sniffing my next copy of Forward Day by Day just in case.
How about a Lent Madness 2012 t-shirt? The bracket on one side and the Saint with the Golden Halo on the back. This would help combat the withdrawal until next Ash Thursday. I would wear it and recall the fun of these weeks, the inspiration of the saints, and the community of saintly silliness that has grown out of your genius.
I know his former-soon-to-be-reinstated-archnemesis will join me in this request: please don’t call him a genius. It will just go to his head.

I believe Father Scott has been immortalised in the classic “Scott and the Thurible, Horrible, no Good, Very Bad Warehouse”, which the American Library Association has honoured as a Notable Children’s Book.
It’s a hot title.
